First Parish Folks Singing Together

Spirited Connections

First Parish is an intentional community that strives to be caring and provide sanctuary for a diversity of needs. Not all seekers of religious community come looking for the same things.

This explains in part why Family Events and Adult Programs at First Parish are invaluable to so many: to newcomers looking for a place to fit in and to belong, and to members whose lives and wishes for religious community are changing.

In our Adult Programs, we attempt to provide connections with caring and thoughtful people in settings that allow for greater intimacy in community, as well as paths and guidance to deeper theological understanding and introspection.

UU Bible Study

Sunday Afternoons from 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Join Jen Dillinger and Rev. Jim Sherblom in the Dana Room to tackle one of that Sunday's lectionary Bible passages. We use BIBLE WORKBENCH, which includes other contemporary readings and commentary from a Jungian perspective, to explore what the Bible may mean to us.

Meditation Group

Sunday Mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 am

Easy, simple, no worries. Come, sit, talk, sit, laugh, sit, read, sit.... No experience needed; instruction provided. We of the First Parish Sangha are friendly, welcoming, and encourage laughter. Please join us in the moment (take the stairs by the Peterson Room and follow the signs). For questions or information, contact meditation@firstparishinbrookline.org.

Good Times

The Good Times organizes adult gatherings for badminton, dinners out, and other fun recreational activities.

Book Club

The Book club at First Parish is open to all and meets the first Sunday of every month at 7:30 pm in the Peterson Room at the church.
